La Magnifica Comunità

BIOGRAPHY
 

Founded by Enrico Casazza in 1990, La Magnifica Comunità is a chamber orchestra using

period instruments.

 

The ensemble particularly focuses its attention on Italian style music composed between

the end of the 17th and the first half of the 18th Century.

 

La Magnifica Comunità has flexible instrumentation depending upon the repertoire

performed and subdivides its performances in different groups such as trio, chamber

orchestra working in collaboration with choral ensemble.

 

The musicians have all the interest of divulgating classical music, in a constant personal

and group study believing that a style and philological research is a basis to understand

music in each age.

 

La Magnifica Comunità held several concerts in prestigious hall in Italy and abroad,

performing at the Concertgebouw of Asterdam, collecting a great public consent

everywhere.
